You are starting writing online but you don’t know where to start.
I have been there 5 years ago.
Today it feels like a second nature.
If it seems like this is not something that would come naturally to you, it will.
But only under 1 condition.
You must stay consistent.
Writing is not a talent game.
It is a consistency game.
And you won’t be consistent unless you clearly understand the reasons why you are writing.
Use writing to understand why you are writing.
Jot down all the reasons why you are writing and hit “PUBLISH”. Let it become your first article.
Here are my reasons. Integrate these narratives if it helps you.
1. Write to become a better thinker.
Writing is thinking on paper. And that is the reason why everyone is already a writer. If you can think, you can write.
The more your write the better more clear and more organized thinker you become.
As a writer you gain the ability to constantly iterate on your thoughts. You have time to think.
So iterate. Until you become crystal clear on everything in your head. Until you develop a robust system of thinking.
Your life is the manifestation of your mind.
Clear and organized mind = good life.
Inner chaos is a result of shallow thinking.
2. Write to destress.
Dr. Tara Swart & Steven Bartlett on Stress. Listen to this podcast. This is a good one.
It appears that, writing is a cortisol-releasing activity. The more you write, the less stressed you are. Clearly, some cathartic processes that are happening during writing are launching some positive neurochemistry. Writing is a free therapist. And way better than the majority of paid ones.
